Flat Stanley Ideas

Dear Families,                                                          

         Our third graders just finished reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.  In this book, Stanley gets crushed with a bulletin board.  He’s fine, but now he’s flat!  Luckily for us, that means he can fit into an envelope and be sent anywhere in the world.

         That leads us into our Social Studies Unit, Communities Around the World.  The Children are coming home today with their own Flat Stanley.  You are invited to send Flat Stanley to anyone you know for a little adventure.  We would like for you to record that adventure and send Flat Stanley back to school with a picture and a note by February 28, 2014. We have included a letter you can send to your friend or relative with instruction on what they can do with Flat Stanley.
