Soon we will be reading another great book by one of favorite authors, Eve Bunting. The story is about Francisco, a young Mexican-American boy, helps his grandfather find work as a gardener, even though the old man cannot speak English and knows nothing about gardening. The story takes place in California and its also about immigration. Can you find California on the map? Do you know what immigration means? Do you infer this book will be similar to the others we have read by Eve? Be ready to talk.
