This week my new second graders and I learned a lot about each other. Each student created a self portrait and wrote things about themselves that we might not know when we see them. What can you tell us about you?

Hi Everyone! This is Andre's dad. I was impressed by the 3rd graders' self-portraits. Let me tell you a bit about myself. When I was an Elementary school student, I only knew one language (English) but now I know Spanish and Portuguese too. My favorite game was kick-the-can. I loved to climb trees and watch people down below. My favorite food was spagetti with tomato sauce. I still love climbing and spagetti. Now I love to sing and play the guitar and ukulele. I really love kids picture books and chapter books(even more than books for adults). Hello Second Grade Children, I like the artistic creativity on your self portraits. I also loved drawing and coloring when I was a second grader. Did you know that reading your classroom Promise at Academic Night made me feel very happy of how kind, caring, and responsible all of you must be to have come up with all those wonderful rules and Goals! Keep the great work!
Hello 3rd graders! I loved reading your "Who sits here" descriptions last night. It was so much fun and I learned a lot about some of you. For example, I didn't know that Leo's favorite animals were lions or that Julian's favorite color was red. Did you know that my favorite animals are cats? They are the best! hugs,
